Student of the department of Economics and Business-Administration participated in Study Tours to Poland 201 |
From 4th to 15th of November master student ofthe department of Economics and Business-Administration Alina Lavrynenko took part in the program of study visits to Poland – Study Tours to Poland held in Gdansk. The event provided an opportunity for students from Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and Russia to get to know about the mechanisms of functioning of Polish government institutions, NGOs, businesses, universities and the media. The program included lectures, discussions, workshops and presentations. In the framework of the project participants had meetings with the Mayor of Gdansk and the chairman of the regional council, the province Pomerania region. Students also visited the Polish universities – Gdansk Polytechnic University, where theyhad a meeting with Edmund Vittbodt, former rector and Minister of Education of Poland, and Gdansk University, where participants met representatives of the administration and students. The topics discussedwere the features of educational system, Bologna process in Poland and students’ self-government. The most impressive, according to Alina Lavrynenko, were meetings with the real living legends and symbols of anti-totalitarian struggle Lech Walesa, former Polish President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, and Bogdan Borusewicz– current head of Senate of Poland. The main topic of discussion was the European prospects of the countries of Eastern Europe. In addition, the participants have acquired practical skills in creating socially important projects working in the international group, attended educational trips to Warsaw, Gdynia, Sopot, Pruszcz Gdanskyi and the stadium PGE Arena Gdansk, where matches of Euro 2012 were held. |
