Forum Green Mind – 2012

On October 13-15 in Kiev under the patronage of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine the International Forum Green Mind was held on the problems of the green economy.

Forum was opened by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Edward Stavitsky, who noted the informational and educational importance of the forum, the importance of international environmental cooperation development and also announced the directions of the national environmental policy implementation in the nearest future.

His report on “Innovative forms of “green” development of territories” presented Professor Leonid Grygorovych Melnyk, the Head of the Department of Economics and Business Administration SSU. The leitmotif of the report was the idea that Ukraine should become a kind of ecological capital of the world in the production of goods for environmental purposes, and Sumy region could be the ecological capital across Ukraine. Especially as there are all the necessary prerequisites both for Ukraine and for the Sumy region.
