Last week, the presentation of the study guide by Prof. Doctor of Economics Leonid Melnyk for younger children in the child development center of Sumy “KiddyLand”. The book “Vesela abetka” will be useful for young readers as an auxiliary study guide for studying the Ukrainian language.
The advantage of this popular science publication is the possibility of organizing the educational process in a game form, which corresponds to the characteristics of this age group. Visualization of linguistic information opens up additional opportunities for young readers in learning the basics of the Ukrainian language and expanding the child’s vocabulary. The book contains the author’s recommendations for young readers on using the alphabet (coloring, inventing their own pictures, reading with friends and adults, inventing their own poem, playing with words), which encourages children to actively use educational materials.
“Thank you very much for developing such a useful material for preschool children! This guide will definitely complement our classes on literacy and speech development for children in the “KiddyLand” mini-kindergarten. We believe that the manual very successfully combines the basics of reading with drawing (coloring), because in this way children will better consolidate information and it will definitely not be forgotten. We thank Professor Leonid Melnyk for his contribution to the development of our children” – Karina Pavlivna Litvin, methodologist of the “KiddyLand” child development center in Sumy.
