Today, the first groups of students presented their projects as part of the COIL course “Promotion of a sustainable lifestyle on campus: COIL course”, which is implemented for students of the Institute of Business, Economics and Management of Sumy State University together with the College of Business named after Sam Walton University of Arkansas.
The course coordinators from Sumy State University are Inna Koblіanska, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration, and Tetyana Pimonenko, Dr. Sc, professor, Head of the Marketing Department. The course is attended by students of specialities 051 Economics, 075 Marketing, 076 Entrepreneurship, trade and exchange activity
The first presentations demonstrated the students’ creative approach to identifying a problem, developing a solution, and presenting it. Among the solutions that will contribute to the sustainable development of campuses, the following were proposed: sorting and recycling of waste, vegetarian menu, water conservation measures in buildings, and ensuring inclusiveness and accessibility of university space. Notably, the identified problems and proposed solutions are common for Ukraine and the USA.
