As part of the implementation of a research project funded by the National Research Fund of Ukraine, entitled “Restructuring of the National Economy towards Digital Transformations for Sustainable Development” (Project No. 0122U001232), overseen by Professor Oleksandra Karintseva, a comprehensive dataset has been compiled. This dataset encapsulates a spectrum of data delineating the economic, ecological, and social dimensions of regional development across Ukraine.
Entitled “Assessment of Sustainable Development across Ukrainian Regions (2013-2021) and Identification of Regional Disparities: Dataset,” this dataset comprises indicators pivotal in computing the regional sustainable development index. This index is derived from a methodological framework informed by the subnational Human Development Index (HDI), augmented by environmental assessments. The dataset further expounds upon factors contributing to regional divergence.
In its construction, data were drawn from various sources, including the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, regional environmental reports, and environmental profiles of Ukrainian regions and state-controlled cities, alongside data procured from national regulatory bodies. The dataset spans a temporal range from 2013 to 2021. It encompasses 58 distinct parameters encapsulating regional development metrics for 24 Ukrainian regions, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Kyiv, and Sevastopol.
