Innovative entrepreneurship and start-ups for Shostka College Students

During the March 2025, there were organized cooperation meetings between Shostka College named after I.Kozhedub and Sumy State University. During the meeting, Oleksandr spoke about the opportunities at Sumy State University and the institutional development of the Startup Center of Sumy State University “New Generation” under the leadership of A. Piven. As a part of cooperation the lecturing for the students on “Startup the first steps in business: EU and Ukrainian Experience” was held. The lecturer of the discipline is Oleksandr Kubatko, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration.
The course aims to provide a perspective on entrepreneurial dynamics, focusing on the EU as a center for innovation and start-ups, and equips students with the essential knowledge and skills to develop start-ups aligned with EU practices. The course is structured to several topics, and Oleksandr has covered Ideation and conceptualization in start-up development; Features of small business development in EU and Ukraine; Stages of development of startup projects Case studies of successful scale-ups.
The course was based on the results of the educational and scientific project of EU Jean Monnet Module which is currently being carried out at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration: Jean Monnet Module “Youth & Business: EU Practices for cooperation” (101126538 – YouthBEU – ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH headed by B. Kovalov.
