Conference “ECONOMICS FOR ECOLOGY” (EU practices for sustainable economy implementation within Industries 4.0 and 5.0)

The International Scientific and Practical Online Conference “ECONOMICS FOR ECOLOGY” (EU practices for sustainable economy implementation

within Industries 4.0 and 5.0) was held in Sumy on May 31-June 1, 2022.  The congference was organized withing the EU Jean Monnet grant “EU legislative, economic and social transition to sustainable society” (619997-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR).

The conference brought together about 70 scientists, teachers, doctoral students, graduate students, bachelors and business representatives. The organizing committee of the conference included the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Sumy State University, Kaunas University of Technology, University of Bradford, Riga Technical University, Czech University of Natural Sciences Prague, University of New Brunswick, International Center for Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development (ICED), Accra, Ghana .

During the conference, three representatives of Jean Monnet’s departments presented their achievements.

Jean-Marc TRUYE (Professor Jean Monnet, Associate Professor of the School of Management (University of Bradford, UK) discussed the issues of integration in Africa for the sustainable development and provided some explanations.

Martin Dangerfield (Professor of European Integration, Department of European Integration of Central and Eastern Europe Jean Monnet, University of Wolverhampton, UK) spoke about a long look at the results of EU enlargement to the east in connection with the war in Ukraine.

Leonid Melnyk (Doctor of Economics, Professor Jean Monnet on the legislative, economic and social transition of the EU to a sustainable society) spoke about modern industrial revolutions and economic, social, energy and environmental security during the war.
