| The Defense of Research Works of Pupils – Students of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine |

On the 9th of February on the basis of Sumy State University there was held the defense of research papers of pupils – listeners of Sumy regional branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which is the first stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of scientific and research works of pupils – students of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Defense of works of Sumy pupils was held in different directions. Teachers of the faculty of economics and management were invited as a jury to assess the works of students of the Economic Branch in three sections: economic theory and the history of economic thought, macroeconomics and microeconomics, finance, cash flow and credit. Works of pupils were dedicated to the issues of necessity and effectiveness of social advertising, development of certain reference points of social development for the transition towards sustainable socio-economic development, efficiency of shared resources use, the necessity of economic nationalism implementation etc. The jury noted the high level of scientific and research works, the diversity and the relevance of the chosen themes, their practical significance and scientific novelty. According to the results of defense the winners were selected as follows: 1. In microeconomics and macroeconomics section: · 1st place was received by Prokopenko Maryna – the 11th form pupil of the Alexander Gymnasium; · 2nd place was taken by a pupil of the school № 10 named after the Hero of the Soviet Union O. Butko – Yeugenia Brazhnyk; · 3rd place was shared by pupils of Sumy specialized school of I-III grades № 7 – Anastasia Solomakha and Daryna Sheveliova; 2. In economic theory and the history of economic thought section: · 1st place went to Myckola Melnyk – the pupil Sumy specialized school of I-III grades № 9; · 2nd place was received by pupil of school № 10 named after the Hero of the Soviet Union O.
