Student’s winning at the scientific race!

At the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University March 18, 2016 All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers on “Economics of Transport and Communications” was held, based on which Gaytyna Maria Viktorivna, student of the 2nd year of SSU “Economics of the enterprise” specialty, has received the diploma of II degree.

Maria presented the scientific paper entitled “Organizational and economic maintenance of the greening of transport systems”, which she performed under the guidance of Dr., prof. Melnyk L.G. and Ph.D., assoc. prof. Matsenko O.M. under Jean Monnet grant.

The Commission and the participants were pleasantly surprised by the level of novelty performance. In a result of analysis of transport systems “greening” trends the criteria for their greening were highlighted and technical-environmental-economic efficiency of the three modes of transport was calculated: cars with internal combustion engines (ICEs), electric vehicles and hydrogen.

Against the backdrop of the electric vehicles global market growth in connection with the recent cancellation of import duties on imports electric vehicles, their number in Ukraine, as well as the number of electric stations is growing rapidly. Therefore, an urgent practical-scientific problem is to accelerate these processes. Based on the existing global and domestic trends “greening” tools of transport system of Ukraine were systematized and expanded, as well as assessment of the forecasted economic impact by the scenario of transfer 50% of vehicles with internal combustion engines to electric vehicles was done.

During the report it was interesting to get to know even for specialists about electric charging stations geography (there are already more than 60 in Ukraine), the rapid growth of the number of electric vehicles (there are more than 700), and that is currently electric vehicles charging at stations is free of charge, as well as a taxi service that uses only fully electric vehicles already operates in Kharkiv.
