Scientists of Department visited the Kaunas University of Technology within the framework of the Ukrainian-Lithuanian project |
From October 8 till October 15, a working visit of faculty members of the Department of Economics and Business Administration to Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), (Kaunas, Lithuania) was held in the framework of the implementation of the international Ukrainian-Lithuanian scientific project «FormingInstitutional and Economic Bases of Sustainable Development and Green Economyon Regional Level».
The program of the visit of a group of scientists – Prof. Leonid Melnyk, Associate Prof. Iryna Dehtyarova and Associate Prof. Bohdan Kovalov was quite busy and interesting.
Firstly, the project leader, Professor Leonid Melnyk, delivered a lecture on «The development of green economy within the framework of the 3rd and 4th industrial revolutions» to the 4th yearstudents of the Faculty of Economics and Business, KTU.
Secondly, together with Lithuanian colleagues, Ukrainian scholars took part in a scientific seminar «Challenges of Sustainable Development and Green Economy». The main speakers of the seminar were:
– from Ukraine: Prof. L. Melnyk, Assoc. Prof. I. Dehtyarova and Assoc. Prof. B. Kovalov;
– from Lithuania: Prof. Dr. Rytis Krusinskas, Dr. Lina Sinevičiené and Dr. Ausrine Lakstutiene. Also the participants of the seminar were the scientists of the KTU.
Thirdly, project managers Prof. L. Melnyk (Ukrainian side) and Lekt. Dr. Lina Sinevičiené (Lithuanian side) discussed the details of the project.
Fourthly, on the initiative of the Lithuanian partners, an excursion to Fornestas Company took place. During the excursion, the scientists and the company management discussed the effectiveness of «green» production technologies.
At the end of the visit there was a round table discussion about plans and prospects for future cooperation.
Sumy scholars also made a one-day trip to Riga for participation in the international scientific conference on economics and entrepreneurship (Riga Technical University), where they made presentations.
