Publications related to the realization of Jean Monnet Chair “EU Economic Policies and Civil Society”

The Jean Monnet Chair in EU Economic Policies and Civil Society (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR) (2020-2023) is headed by Professor Oleksandr Kubatko at Sumy State University since September 2020. The responsible teachers from Sumy State University are Vladyslava Zavhorodnia, Andriana Kostenko, Leonid Melnyk L., Bohdan Kovalov, Oleksii Gonacharenko, Yulia Chortoc. There is also foreign teacher Jean-Marc Trouille, University of Bradford (UK).

  • four chapters for scientific monographs on European economic politicians and civil society have been prepared;
  • five distance courses have been developed: “EU economy and EU economic policies”; “EU trade policy”; “EU policies for sustainable development” ; “The civil society influence on EU integration in Ukraine”; “Common Foreign and Security Policy: Legal Framework for EU-Ukraine Cooperation”.
  • Prepared 18 articles in peer-reviewed journals and prepared reports for 19 conferences.
  • developed a set of presentation materials and recommendations for conducting classes to ensure appropriate teaching;
  • a network of partner universities was formed: (Sumy State University (Sumy, Ukraine), Poltava National Technical University named after Y. Kondratyuk (Poltava, Ukraine), Odessa National Polytechnic University (Odessa, Ukraine); Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin (Kharkiv, Ukraine); Donetsk National University named after Vasyl Stus (Vinnytsia, Ukraine); Prague University of Economics and Business (Prague, Czech Republic); Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky (Kyiv) Kaunas University of Technology (Kaunas, Lithuania), Mechanical Engineering College of Sumy State University (Sumy, Ukraine), University of Maryland (USA); University of Wolverhampton (Great Britain), Sumy National Agrarian University (Sumy, Ukraine), Kharkiv National Economic University named after S. Kuznets (Kharkiv, Ukraine), to attract the general public regarding cooperation in European studies and to discuss the issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU.
  • a set of scientific and practical works was completed within Jean Monnet Chair in EU Economic Policies and Civil Society. Thus, specific scientific research was done related to the identification of strengths and weaknesses of Ukraine while deepening ties with the EU.

The results of scientific works were published in more than 40 scientific and educational publications.
