Participation in Youth Exchange Program in Macedonia |
From 10th to 18th of November 2013 SSU representatives, namely, Liudmyla Kulyk (post-graduate student at the Department of Economics and BA), Anna Kolodka (post-graduate student at the Department of Marketing and MIA), Yulia Myronenko (student at the Department of Management), Yevgeniy Rot-Serov (student at the Department of Marketing and MIA ) together with the group leader Alina Poznanska participated in the Youth Exchange program “The vision of my Europe” in the framework of the Youth in Action in Struga, Macedonia. Youth Exchange participants were representatives of different countries, including the Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, Serbia, Spain, Bulgaria and Ukraine. The purpose of the youth exchange program – is voluntary movement promotion and spread of volunteerism ideas via photographs and vivid expressions. Youth Exchange was built on the principles of non-formal education, intercultural learning using situational problems, business and communication games and aimed at obtaining practical results. Discussion of volunteering in Europe had a special interest among the participants, as this subject is very relevant in today’s world. Participants shared experience of volunteers work in their countries. Project participants worked out directions of involving young people in voluntary movement. In addition, participants studied the peculiarities of photography as a tool for the dissemination of ideas and practiced in photo stories creation and 2014 calendar design. As the project result calendars will be printed and distributed in all countries of the European Union and the countries participating in the project. Every evening the representatives of various countries carried out cultural and entertainment program in which presented the features of their culture, traditions and interesting facts. The participants returned home with new ideas and positive emotions. |
