LECTURES WITHIN THE JEAN MONNET PROGRAM

From 11.12.2020 to 18.12.2020 students of Odessa National Polytechnic University studying in the educational program “Public Administration” took part in a series of lectures and a scientific seminar on “Basic concepts of EU integration”, which were held in within the project entitled “Jean Monnet Chair of EU Economic Policy and Civil Society” (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR, Supervisor – Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business -administration Alexander Kubatko). The events were held by representatives of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration of Sumy State University (SSU) Ph.D. Goncharenko Oleksiy and Ph.D. Yulia Chortok with the full support of the management of the Department of Administrative Management and Market Problems of ONPU.

The purpose of these activities was to deepen knowledge about the EU, gain theoretical knowledge of the concepts of integration, features of public administration and administration in the EU.
During the event, students learned that the Jean Monnet Program is one of the educational programs of the European Union, which aims to increase the level of knowledge and awareness of students, students and society as a whole on economic, historical, cultural and legal issues of European integration.
The goal of Jean Monnet in the framework of Erasmus + is to intensify the European integration discourse, promote the excellence of European integration studies, involve higher education institutions in the study of European integration processes and disseminate the ideas of the United Europe.
It should be noted that Ukrainian universities have been participating in the Jean Monnet program since 2001. The most popular in Ukraine among higher education institutions is the activity of Teaching and Research, which includes such forms of implementation of the Jean Monnet program as “Departments”, “Modules” and “Centers of Excellence”.
