Lectures on EU economic policies within Jean Monnet Chair

During Fall semester, from October 2020 to January 2021, Oleksandr Kubatko has provided lectures and seminars within the courses “EU policies for sustainable development (EU policies for green economy)” and “EU policies of economic security” within the “Jean Monnet Chair in EU Economic Policies and Civil Society” (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR).

Within the course “EU policies for sustainable development” it was provided lectures regarding sustainable economy in EU (greener production and services, greener energy industries, IT sectors, bio economies, etc.). The best EU practices for reproduction of sustainable economy system: ensuring demand and supply for sustainable goods and services, greening working places, motivate incentives and economic relations, reproduction of sustainable human (consumer, producer, designer, technologist, manager, teacher and communicator) were analyzed and discussed by students. The students learned the roles of social preconditions such European democratic institutes and values for development of sustainable economy
Within the course “EU policies of economic security” the students learned opportunities and threats facing firms, both European and foreign-owned, operating within and beyond the boundaries of the Single European Market. Students also learned normative and empirical facts about the development of European structures, institutions and their impact on economic activity.  They also covered fundamental rules, norms and regulations especially within European common/internal market.
