New level of the international conferences “Economics for Ecology” and “Economic problems of sustainable development”

On May 6–9, 2014 there were XX International scientific conference “Economics for Ecology” and Prof. Balatsky O.F. International scientific and practical conference “Economic problems of sustainable development” at SSU. This year conferences united participants from 12 world countries – Ukraine, Poland, Israel, Canada, Hungary, Belarus and others.

New format to held conferences let participants and everyone who wished to listen to lectures and reports of the experienced scientists and also to joint more fruitful discussions concerning sustainable development, economics of nature management, rational resource using and so on. Rich program included scientific events, such as:

• plenary meeting, where Prof. Samuel Chain (Israel), Alexandr Romanko (Canada) and Leonid Melnik (Ukraine) appeared;
• sectional meetings, where students and scientists of Ukraine, neighboring countries and beyond presented their reports;
• open lectures of Alexandr Romanko (Canada), Samuel Chain (Israel), Jan Cebulya (Poland).

Also participants of the conference jointed celebration of Economics and Management Week, which included a few cultural events, dedicated to 23-year FEM anniversary.

“Such conferences at Sumy State University show the wide possibilities of HEI. Thank to cooperation with foreign HEIs students can get education in Poland by the program of double diploma”, – FEM Dean Dr of Economics, Prof. Olga Prokopenko affirmed.

Press-secretary of the Green Knesset project (Israel Parliament) Dr Samuel Chain pointed out the high level of conferences. “I was greatly impressed with materials of the previous conferences. Scientific events of SSU are able to change the relation of society to the environment. I am sure that these conferences will help Ukraine to make great step in direction of the society ecologization “, – press-secretary of the Israel Parliament stressed.
