In November-December 2024, a series of meetings with schoolchildren in Sumy began on the topic of starting a business and disruptive technologies. The lecturers are Oleksandr Kubatko, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration, and Leonid Melnyk, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration.
During the first meeting, the main practices of disruptive technologies in Ukraine were discussed. The social and economic challenges of opening a successful business in Ukraine were explained. In general, the goal of the meetings was to provide an understanding of management and planning methods that turn ideas into viable commercial businesses. Due to wartime, the meetings were held in a mixed format (participants who had the opportunity came to bomb shelters, the rest of the participants were online ).
Meetings with schoolchildren were prepared as part of the Jean Monet EU project, which is currently being carried out at the economics, entrepreneurship and business administration department of Sumy State University: “Disruptive technologies for sustainable development in conditions of Industries 4.0 and 5.0: the EU Experience” (101083435 -DTSDI – ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH) (2022-2025) headed by O.
