Learning Swedish experience of sustainable water use!

Student studying at «environmental economics and natural resources» (Department of Economics and business administration), Alexey Pasevin (under the guidance of researcher, Ph.d. A.M. Matsenko) took part in the cycle of lectures and seminars organized by the Stockholm School of Economics. Scientific seminars were focused on the sustainable development of the countries of Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

During October Alexey Pasevin are visited the lectures of President School of Economics Prof. Lars Bergman, assistant professor Erik Maersson and professor emeritus Per-Olov Johansson.

In addition, during his stay in Stockholm student visited the Stockholm International Water Institute, met with Andreas Lindstrom – specialist on solving the problems of water supply in Eastern Europe. Alex shared the experience on the issues of water management in Ukraine and studied the ways to solve the water crisis in Europe. Also student explored the latest methods of water purification and wastewater treatment. Swedish experts in the field of sustainable water management are interested in problems of water in Ukraine, and they promised to visit Sumy State University.
