International activity of the Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration Department in the 2017-2018 academic year

There were two running international and academic projects at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration in 2017-2018. The first one is Jean Monnet project on “EU trade opportunities and challenges for Ukraine” and second is Ukrainian-Lithuanian Scientific Project “Development of Institutional and Economic fundamentals of sustainable development and the “green” economy at the regional level”.

In the fall of 2017, the last stage of reporting on the implementation of another Jean Monnet project “Using the best practices for sustainable economy forming in Ukraine” has finished.

Teachers of the Department took part in a series of international internships and exchange programs. In particular, in the framework of the Ukrainian-Lithuanian project in the fall of 2017, there was held a visit by prof. Leonid Melnyk, assoc. prof. Iryna Dehtyarova and assoc. prof. Bohdan Kovalov to Kaunas University of Technology (KTU, Kaunas, Lithuania). The Head of the department prof. L. Melnyk has participated in the World Science Forum, which was held near Amman (Jordan) on the shores of the Dead Sea under the patronage of the King and Queen of the country.

In January 2018, L. Melnyk visited the School of Business at the University of Massey in Oakland, New Zealand, within the framework of scientific and educational exchange. Also, in July 2018, L. Melnyk has participated in the international scientific conference “Development of technological and economic tools for the sustainable future”. The conference discussed the formation of ways of sustainable development and Industry 4.0. The conference was held at the International Science Center near Oxford. The participants had an opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the laboratories, where practical questions were dealt with, on which the course of the III and IV industrial revolutions depends.

Senior lecturer of the department T. Pimonenko has passed at international internship in the form of advanced training at the Institute of Energy and Resources (New Delhi, India) “Integrated Approach to Sustainable Development” within the ITEC program. Also, T.Pymonenko took part in the international conference “New Trends and Best Practices in Socio-Economic Research” (Igalo, Montenegro), where within the framework of the Jean Monnet training module “EU trade opportunities and challenges for Ukraine” for the participants of the conference T. Pimonenko provided a series of training on “EU Trade policy: Experience of the Visegrad Countries”.

L. Melnyk and Associate Professor O. Derykolenko took part at the 25th conference of the Eurasian Business and Economy Union. More than 500 participants from 60 countries of the world took part in the conference, which took place in Berlin. Our representatives made a presentation “Economics and Business” in the context of the phase transition to the “green” economy.

In April 2018, O. Chigrin received internship at the Center for Sociological Studies in Igalo, (Montenegro), on the topic “Sustainable Development Goals: New Challenges and Prospects.”

Student Kozlova Diana, specialty: “Business Economics”, has passed the competitive selection of the international mobility Erasmus + program and received the opportunity to study at the University of Almeria, Spain. Students of the department Anastasia Yaskevich and Kateryna Bogomolova took part in the Polish-Ukrainian exchange “Similarities in diversity” from September 17 to 26, 2018 in the town of Poronin (Poland).

For the students of the Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration Department and the FEM Institute in a whole, there were organized a lectures of Belgian scientist Luc Hens on the topic “The Widening Concept of Clean Production”.
