Continuing the Training Course “European Practices of Research Excellence in the Digital Era”

17/01/2025 course participants had the opportunity to gain new knowledge from leading experts:

📌 Dr. Vasyl Kvartiuk, PhD, Research Associate at the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO), Halle (Saale), Germany, delivered a lecture on European practices in designing, organizing, and presenting research results. Special attention was given to:

  • Selecting a research idea and transforming it into a publication;
  • Conducting studies based on qualitative and quantitative data;
  • Organizing interviews and surveys;
  • Data processing techniques and software solutions for handling data.

📌 In the afternoon, Inna Koblianska, PhD, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business Administration of Sumy State University, and project leader, conducted a practical training session on the use of the Zotero bibliographic manager. The training covered:

  • A step-by-step guide to the program’s functionality and application;
  • Its role in implementing open science practices and FAIR data management principles, which form the foundation of the EU research paradigm.

Participants have access to course materials and session recordings on the Canvas platform, providing additional learning opportunities.

🔜 Upcoming sessions will focus on data processing and analysis, academic writing, and opportunities for research funding in the EU.
