Academic Profile

Viacheslav Voronenko has 12 years of experience in higher education teaching and academic research. His academic work focuses on the transformation of economic and socio-economic systems under the influence of digital technologies, environmental and social challenges, and the transition towards sustainable development. His current research combines digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainable development, green economy, economic resilience, and post-war recovery. He participates in national and international research and educational projects and is involved in academic peer review, research project evaluation, and student research supervision.

Viacheslav I. Voronenko participates in research and development projects focused on digital transformation, sustainable development, economic resilience, and post-war recovery.

He has also participated in applied research projects focused on the social prioritization of territories for humanitarian demining, including the development, testing, and description of social prioritization models.

Teaching

Viacheslav Voronenko teaches courses in economics, business, statistics, sustainable development, and digital transformation. His teaching portfolio includes:

Supervision and Student Research

Viacheslav Voronenko supervises student research projects and supports students in academic research, scientific publications, and research competitions. During the past five years, 33 students under his supervision achieved a formally recognized level of research activity. He has also provided scientific supervision or consultation for 4 dissertation projects. In 2025, a student supervised by him, Tetiana Sakhnenko, received second place in the All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Research Papers in the field of Enterprise Economics.

International Academic Activity

Viacheslav Voronenko has participated in international academic mobility, research, and educational initiatives. In 2023, he participated in the Erasmus+ KA107 International Credit Mobility program at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. He also participated in the Jean Monnet Module “Youth & Business: EU Practices for Cooperation”, implemented within the Erasmus+ program in 2023–2024. His international academic activities include collaboration with researchers and institutions in other countries, participation in international research and educational initiatives, and teaching in English.

Academic Service

Viacheslav Voronenko contributes to academic service through editorial, peer review, and expert activities. He has also served as a peer reviewer for international academic journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, including the International Journal of Global Energy Issues and the International Journal of Procurement Management. He is a member of the Expert Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and is involved in evaluating research and scientific-technical projects.

Awards and Recognition

In 2024, Viacheslav Voronenko received third place in the Sumy State University competition for the Best Academic and Teaching Staff. His professional activity has also been recognized through participation in funded research projects, international academic programs, student research supervision, and expert activities.
