Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Business, Economics and Management of Sumy State University, Yuliia Tarasenko (group MEV-51) and Veronika Rudenko (group M-51), have won the second round of the International Student Research Paper Competition in Management.<\/p>\n

Following the results of the competition, their research paper \u201cEnterprise Energy Consumption Management in a Crisis Environment\u201d was awarded a Third Degree Diploma.<\/p>\n

The research was supervised by Oleksandr Matsenko, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration, Sumy State University, and Tatjana Tambovceva, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management, Riga Technical University, Latvia. The research supervisors also received certificates of merit for preparing the winning students.<\/p>\n

The final meeting of the sectoral competition committee took place online on 5 June 2026 at Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University. This year, the competition brought together 93 participants from 46 higher education institutions, who presented 64 student research papers.<\/p>\n

The international status of the competition adds particular significance to this achievement. Representatives from Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Italy, Georgia, Germany, Czechia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Slovakia, Latvia, France, Spain, Kazakhstan and Finland<\/strong> took part in the competition and its organisation. Such broad international representation highlights the high level of academic competition and makes the victory of Sumy State University students especially significant.<\/p>\n

The research by Yuliia Tarasenko<\/strong> and Veronika Rudenko<\/strong> focuses on the relevant issue of enterprise energy consumption management in a crisis environment. The topic is of particular importance for the modern economy, as energy efficiency, rational resource use and strengthening enterprise resilience are becoming increasingly relevant amid military, economic and energy challenges.<\/p>\n

The victory in this prestigious international competition demonstrates the high level of research training of Sumy State University students, the effectiveness of academic supervision and the value of international academic cooperation between Sumy State University<\/strong> and Riga Technical University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
