As part of the implementation of a research project funded by the National Research Fund of Ukraine, entitled “Restructuring of the National Economy towards Digital Transformations for Sustainable Development” (Project No. 0122U001232), overseen by Professor Oleksandra Karintseva, a comprehensive dataset has been compiled. This dataset encapsulates a spectrum of data delineating the economic, ecological, and social dimensions of regional development across Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Entitled “Assessment of Sustainable Development across Ukrainian Regions (2013-2021) and Identification of Regional Disparities: Dataset,” this dataset comprises indicators pivotal in computing the regional sustainable development index. This index is derived from a methodological framework informed by the subnational Human Development Index (HDI), augmented by environmental assessments. The dataset further expounds upon factors contributing to regional divergence.<\/p>\n
In its construction, data were drawn from various sources, including the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, regional environmental reports, and environmental profiles of Ukrainian regions and state-controlled cities, alongside data procured from national regulatory bodies. The dataset spans a temporal range from 2013 to 2021. It encompasses 58 distinct parameters encapsulating regional development metrics for 24 Ukrainian regions, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Kyiv, and Sevastopol.<\/p>\n
