On September 22, 2022, the Tenth Vernadsky Readings took place in the Sumy Regional Library were started within the lecture “Lessons of the EU in the formation of social and solidarity economy” by L. Melnyk, professor of the department of economics, entrepreneurship and business administration (EPBA) of Sumy State University, Jean Monnet Chair, director of the Research Institute of Development Economics of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The event was attended by schoolchildren, students, teachers and the public of Sumy.
\nThe lecture was held in an interactive mode. During the preparation of the lecture, the results of two EU projects of Jean Monett Chairs, which are currently being implemented at the EPBA department, were used:
\n– \u201cLegislative, economic and social transition of the EU to a sustainable society within Industry 4.0 and 5.0\u201d (619997-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR) (2020\u20132023), headed by L. Melnyk;
\n– \u201cEU Economic Policy and Civil Society\u201d (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR) (2020\u20132023), headed by O. Kubatko.<\/p>\n
