Melnyk<\/a> invited by the director of the Institute of Sustainable Development and Business Doctor, Professor Petr Schauer visited Prague University of Economics (PUE), which is included in the 700 leading universities in the world. The purpose of the visit is scientific and academic exchange.<\/p>\n<p>\nTwo years ago Dr. P. Schauer visited SSU and delivered a lecture at the student conference &#8220;Economics for Ecology&#8221;. Dr. P. Melnyk<\/a> delivered three lectures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li >\n\u201cThe economic roots of the use of &#8220;hard&#8221; and &#8220;soft&#8221; environmental management\u201d &#8211; for the participants of the International Conference of Young Scientists \u201cEnvironmental Economy, Policy and International Environmental Relations\u201d;<\/li>\n<li >\n\u201cReproductive mechanism for &#8220;green economy&#8221; formation\u201d &#8211; delivered for PUE PhD students;<\/li>\n<li >\n\u201cThe fundamentals for ensuring sustainable development\u201d &#8211; for PUE students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nIn addition prof. <a href=\"\/employees\/head-of-department\">L.G. Melnyk<\/a> presented the scientific report \u201cCreating strategies for managing green economy\u201d prepared by lecturers from the Department of Economics and Business Administration at SSU, Dr. <a href=\"\/employees\/list-of-employees\/104-kubatko\">O.V. Kubatko<\/a> and Dr. <a href=\"\/employees\/list-of-employees\/80-derykolenko\">O.M. Derykolenko<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\nGreat interest was aroused by the lecturer&#8217;s thesis about the necessity of mastering <em>trialectic<\/em> <em>method<\/em> of managing economic systems, of which he is the founder. The method is based on the use of reproductive self-organization of open stationary systems (including socio-economic systems) based on the interaction of three groups of factors: a) material and energy, b) information and c) synergetic (i.e. links, relations, communications).<\/p>\n<p>\nUsing specific examples, the difference between &#8220;hard&#8221; and &#8220;soft&#8221; approaches to natural resource use has been demonstrated. &#8220;Hard&#8221; methods impact mainly on the material and energy factors, &#8220;soft&#8221; \u2013 on balancing use of all of the triad of factors and reproductive mechanism as a whole. The first method provides resource saving for separate economic stage and huge economic losses throughout the economic cycle. A significant benefit of the latter is detected at a holistic view of the entire cycle of the system\u2019s functioning. Thus, total felling of trees in the forest provides cheap timber, but entails the loss of 57 of the 58 environmental and socio-economic functions of forests (water protection, climate, recreation, etc.). Selective wood felling is much more expensive, but allows maintaining the integrity of the mechanism of self-reproduction of the forest ecosystem, with all its functions.<\/p>\n<p>\nProfessor <a href=\"\/employees\/head-of-department\">L.G.
