\nFrom 10.11 till 13.11 2014 the Head of the Department of Economics and Business Administration, the Director of Institute for Development Economics, Dr., Prof. L.G. Melnyk <\/a>visited the Department of Management at Odessa National Polytechnic University (ONPU) for the purpose of scientific and teaching exchange. Long-term productive scientific cooperation connects scientists from Sumy State University with the Head of the Department Dr. of Economic Sciences, Prof. S.K. Kharichkov.<\/p>\n

\nWithin the framework of the visit the partners discussed scientific problems and shared experience in the organization of educational process. The problems of scientific policy, approbations of scientific activities results, participation of students in scientific work, conferences, publication of scientific papers, including magazines, possible common participation in the international scientific projects were discussed.<\/p>\n

\nProfessor L.G. Melnyk also met the Director of the Institute for Business, Economy and Information Technologies Dr. S.V. Filippova. Institute of Business, Economics and Information Technology integrates seven departments of economic direction. Issues of educational and scientific work organization were discussed at the meeting.<\/p>\n

\nProfessor L.G. Melnyk presented his new textbook “Economics of Development”. He also spoke at a round table talk of teachers and graduate students of the Institute, having raised the most important problems of economic systems self-organization<\/em>. They are considered in his monograph “The Theory of Self-organization of Economic Systems” in detail.<\/p>\n

\nNature is always self-organizing. Possibly, due to this feature natural systems are so efficient. The efficiency of system\u2019s functioning and its development success depends on how successfully the economic system manages the intensification of self-organization processes of subsystems and how coordinated they are to be subordinated to achieve the common purpose. <\/p>\n

\nDuring a round table talk there was a live discussion. Participants expressed hope for new meetings and fruitful scientific ideas.<\/p>\n
