\nThe second module of Jean Monnet program \u201cUsing best EU practices for sustainable economy forming in Ukraine\u201d (UBEUP) 553 185-EPP-1-2014- 1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE) ended with a series of lectures and thematic workshops in Kharkiv.<\/p>\n

\nMarch 16-17 in Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics (Simon Kuznets KhNEU) there was a series of lectures, began earlier by Prof. Leonid Melnyk, Head of the Department of Economics and Business Administration at Sumy State University (SSU), Director of Institute for Development Economics under Ukrainian Ministry for Education & Science and National Academy of Science. Students, PhD students and professors attended Professor Leonid Melnyk\u2019s lecture “Green” Economy as the Result of the Third Industrial Revolution: the EU experience”. The lecture was also attended by students, graduate students and faculty members of \u041e. \u041c. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv (\u041e. \u041c. Beketov NUUE). <\/p>\n

\nA series of classes ended with a roundtable debate held in English. Students, PhD students and university teachers of the Department of Management and Business of Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics as well as from \u041e. \u041c. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv, took part in it. It was organized by SSU teachers Dr., Prof. Leonid Melnyk, Associate Professor Iryna Dehtyarova and Associate Professor Oleksandr Kubatko. The jury, which concluded the results of the debate, was headed by the Head of the Department of Management and Business, Dr. Prof. Tetyana Lepeyko and Associate Prof. Serhiy Vasylyk.<\/p>\n

\nBefore the roundtable debate<\/p>\n

\nThe participants of the roundtable debates discussed the controversy of implementation of alternative energy sources. In other words, they discussed what is better: to stimulate the development and use of alternative energy sources by individual households or to develop large-scale renewable energy facilities. It was a very lively discussion. At the roundtable debate everybody had the opportunity to express their views. Winners of the debate and active participants of the roundtable received Jean Monnet program certificates. <\/p>\n

\nMarch 18, the same lecture was attended by students and researchers from Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University. The topic was of great interest for discussion.<\/p>\n
